Ms. Hung is admitted to practice law in Taiwan and New York State. She received her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from National Taiwan University College of Law and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University School of Law. She also holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Practicing in data privacy law, Ms. Hung has developed substantial expertise in regulatory compliance across Taiwan, European Union, and United States jurisdictions. Ms. Hung assists domestic and international companies in implementing privacy programs, including developing privacy policies, terms of service, internal data protection frameworks, and data transfer agreements. She advises multinational companies on data protection compliance for their Taiwan operations and service provider arrangements. Drawing from her practical experience in data protection compliance, Ms. Hung delivers educational training sessions on Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act as well as the Regulations Governing the Security Maintenance and Management of Personal Data Files for the Retail Industry, serving clients across various sectors including information security, luxury retail, retail, publishing, and e-commerce industries.
With expertise in commercial law and English proficiency, Ms. Hung assists domestic and international clients with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, including investment agreements, construction contracts, charter parties, software development and licensing agreements. She conducts M&A legal due diligence, advises on foreign direct investment in Taiwan and business entity formation, and provides legal consultation on employment matters, corporate governance, trade secret protection, and non-compete obligations. Having substantial experience in dispute resolution, she represents construction companies, engineering consultants, technology companies, manufacturers, and government agencies in contract disputes and commercial negotiations. She handles litigation matters involving construction claims, state compensation claims, labor compensation, and commercial disputes.
