Mr. Jie Huang is known for providing full-scale legal support for Japanese companies’ investment in Taiwan. His successive success in his career makes him the first choice for clients who face real property development, M&A, joint venture, renewable energy projects, debts re-construction and foreclosure, consumer protection, and unfair competition. In recent years, Mr. Huang has specialized in personal data protection issues. He has provided legality reviews on data protection laws and regulations for new business models of multinational companies. Mr. Huang offers clients legal opinions on compliance with data protection laws and assists them in establishing internal regulations (such as personal data security maintenance plans). His expertise extends to various specially regulated industries, such as merchandise retailing, digital economy-related industries, manpower intermediary industries, manufacturing industries, etc. Additionally, Mr. Huang provides legal advice on commercial contracts concerning personal data protection across various industries and offers courses on personal information compliance to industrial clients. Mr. Huang is a Lead Auditor of ISO/IEC 27701:2019 Privacy Information Management and a Certified Privacy Management Professional, Taiwan Personal Information Protection and Administration System (TPIPAS), and his remarkable achievements in the field of personal data protection have led to his selection as a recommended lawyer in data protection by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for the year 2023.
Familiar with major domestic real property development projects, Mr. Huang has long been providing legal service in massive commercial, such as shopping mall and restaurant, and residential real property development projects. His specialty includes (drafting) of the initial agreement with governmental agencies (such as PPP, government procurement, and joint venture agreements), and drafting, negotiation and review of the subsequent contracts (such as construction contract, commercial lease, real property management agreement, joint development agreement, and pre-sale agreement).Mr. Huang is also experienced in applications for investment permits, due diligence investigation for business merger, investment in renewable energy projects, debts re-constructing and redemption, corporate governance, lecture on legal compliance.
Administrative law is another field Mr. Huang is excellent in. He has been invited as a legal expert by central governmental agencies to review and comment on their proposed regulations and administrative proceedings, such as administrative investigations, administrative sanction, and administrative litigations. In addition, Mr. Huang was retained by the private section in defending administrative proceedings. For example, he achieved a big success for a nationwide well-known publicly-listed company in an administrative proceeding challenging an improper administrative order on real property in the value of ten billion.
