Experience

Ms. Wu specializes in inheritance, family business succession planning, corporate, securities law and commercial law. Her practice area covers trust, corporate investment, mergers and acquisitions, as well as general civil and criminal cases. While studying at NTU Law, she participated in the Lee and Li Moot Court Competition on “Cash-out Mergers and Restrictive Competition (2019)” and won as part of the championship team.

Ms. Wu holds the Certified Family Trust Planning Consultant credential from the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF). Ms. Wu has, during her practice, engaged in numerous estate and succession planning. She has considerable experience in offshore trust planning and establishment, handling probate and letter of administration matters, drafting domestic wills and coordinating international wills with foreign legal counsels. Notably, Ms. Wu successfully assisted a domestic family enterprise in consolidating its management control over a listed company through an offshore private equity holding structure combined with a Taiwanese closed-end company framework.

Ms. Wu regularly manages various corporate and compliance issues for domestic and international clients. She has assisted a domestic technology company with its dissolution and liquidation procedures; advising a domestic technology company on a business carve-out; and assisting a foreign company in the transfer of its Taiwan subsidiary’s shares and its communications with the Department of Investment Review (DIR). She has assisted clients in setting up a limited partnership in Taiwan, offered strategic advice and solutions for management disputes within a Taiwanese limited company, and reviewed procurement contracts for foreign companies to ensure compliance with Taiwanese regulations. She has also successfully assisted a local corporate client with trademark application and registration in Taiwan.

Furthermore, Ms. Wu has supported domestic corporate clients by conducting due diligence related to share acquisitions involving a capital investment company by a leading life insurance corporation, as well as asset acquisitions concerning a local company by a well-known listed construction company. She also advised a foreign client in connection with a geothermal energy joint venture, including drafting the Share Subscription Agreement(SSA), Share Purchase Agreement(SPA), and Shareholders’ Agreement, as well as providing related Taiwan law advice.

Ms. Wu is also experienced in litigation. She has represented clients in matters involving futures investment disputes, She has also assisted a prominent local recreational company in resolving a wage dispute with its manager, and assisted a domestic technology company in settling an engineering performance dispute with its subcontractor. She has secured favorable judgments for her clients in each of these cases.
