On July 8, 2025, Managing Partner Anthony Yang, Senior Partner Miranda Liu, and Associate Nora Wu were invited by CPC Corporation, Taiwan to conduct a training session on key legal topics, including “Practical Analysis of Common Cross-Border and Equity Investment Agreements,” “Introduction to Mining Investment Agreements,” and “Overview of Legal Due Diligence.” The session aimed to enhance the capacity of state-owned enterprises in managing legal risks and navigating the complexities of cross-border investment and contract governance.
The session focused on legal risks and practical challenges frequently encountered by enterprises engaged in international investment, cross-border transactions, and mining development. It provided a practical walkthrough and analysis of critical legal issues and risk mitigation strategies, from contract drafting and investment structuring to mining investment, covering both the negotiation and execution phases.
In addition to analyzing contractual risks from the perspective of in-house counsel, the session also addressed practical issues arising in day-to-day operations. Our attorneys shared how legal professionals can offer practical legal insights in commercial collaboration settings and assist teams in effectively managing related risks.
During the Q&A session, participants raised numerous practical questions regarding contract negotiation, investment execution, and due diligence procedures. The discussion was both pragmatic and in-depth, reflecting the participants’ strong commitment to strengthening contract governance and investment risk management.
