Experience

Ms. Liu has practiced law for over a decade and are fluent in both English and Japanese. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Architecture of the National Chen Kung University and LL.M. degree from the University Texas at Austin. Ms. Liu has various experiences in advising domestic and foreign enterprises on cross-border investments and M&A transactions for many years. In recent years, she has been advising numerous clients from the renewable energy industry in different types of renewable energy projects, and also advising startups on establishing business models, introducing capital and daily operation. She is also an experienced construction lawyer, who is very familiar with the legal issues of engineering and construction industry.

Ms. Liu has constantly advised domestic and foreign enterprises in developing transaction structure, drafting various transaction documents and conducting business negotiation for many years. She used to handle investment targets from numerous industries such as retail, tooling & machining, manufacturing, sports goods and equipment, service, finance, renewable energy, media, telecommunication, software, game development, food, publishing, etc., and has successfully assisted domestic and foreign customers in completing many complicated business transactions. Ms. Liu has extensive experience in conducting due diligence on targets from different industries and specializes in designing deal structure, drafting transaction documents and negotiation. She can provide not only comprehensive and feasible legal strategies to the clients, but also innovative solutions to transaction obstacles tailored to well suit a client’s unique considerations.

In recent years, Ms. Liu constantly advises clients in the projects of offshore wind farms, geothermal energy and solar energy, cooperates with international law firms to provide legal support in relation to introducing new sponsors, shareholding transactions, construction of energy facilities, project financing and compliance with local energy law, as well as assists other vendors and supplies in the renewable energy industry. On the other hand, Mr. Liu is also experienced in advising domestic and foreign startups in making local investment, building valid business models and legal compliance.

In addition, Ms. Liu has been advising foreign and domestic contractors, engineering consulting firms and architects for contract negotiation and construction disputes. She is currently a Vice-Chair of the International Projects Committee of the Inter Pacific Bar Association.
