Managing Partner Shih-Min (Maggie) Wu was invited by the Taiwan Society of Construction Law (TSCL) to serve as a panelist at the “Construction Law Seminar” held on November 4, 2025, addressing the topic: “Is there a fast dispute resolution method?”

During the discussion, Ms. Wu remarked that every dispute resolution procedure has its own merits and demerits, with no absolute superior or inferior method. She argued that retaining the maximum number of dispute resolution options for the parties actually provides them with the greatest procedural protection.

Ms. Wu further suggested that competent authorities should include arbitration as a default option within standard procurement contracts. By removing the requirement for parties to enter into a separate arbitration agreement, this approach would effectively reduce the psychological burden on parties when opting for arbitration procedures.
