Experience

Having practiced law for over a decade, Ms. Amber Chiao is currently a member of the construction law committee of Taipei Bar Association, with her practice focusing on construction law, government procurement and PPP, real estate development and transaction, commercial cases, mediation, arbitration, and other dispute resolutions. She has long been providing legal services to domestic and foreign clients, including legal consultation, contract review, contract drafting and other services, to assist clients in preventing and avoiding disputes. Being highly experienced in dispute resolution, Ms. Chiao receives high recognition from the construction law industry.

Being well versed in constructions, public procurement and PPP projects, Ms. Chiao has assisted Japan general trading companies, large Taiwanese construction companies, renowned construction consulting firms, large architecture firms, metal manufacturers, petrochemical energy companies, government-owned enterprises, and universities to handle construction cases in stages ranging from bid preparation, bid submission, contract negotiation, to contract management and other dispute resolution arising in the contract performance stage. Moreover, she also has handled high-profile construction disputes concerning coal-fired power plant, wind power station, photovoltaic power station, LNG, incineration plant, airport MRT, Taipei MRT, Kaohsiung MRT, Taichung MRT, light rail, road, bridge, reservoir, theater, sports park, public transport interchange, logistics center and reconstruction of veteran village.

Furthermore, Ms. Chiao has handled domestic large-scale land use and development cases, including a hotel construction project and a shopping mall construction project invested by a renowned Japanese publicly-listed company, a joint commercial and residential complex construction project between a Japanese construction and development company and a Taiwan renowned construction company, a joint boutique hotel construction project between a Taiwan renowned construction company and a world renowned hotel group, a joint commercial building construction project between a Taiwan renowned financial holding company and a renowned insurance company, joint construction project between Taiwanese telecom companies, and Taiwan renowned construction company winning the bid for historical park’s superficies. In addition, Ms. Chiao has successfully represented numerous construction companies in handling purchase and sale contract dispute and real estate trust. She constantly receives positive feedbacks from her clients for the legal services she provides.

Ms. Chiao has represented multinational corporations, renowned Japanese companies, large Taiwanese corporations or architecture firms to handle public construction, civil engineering, real estate transaction, product liabilities, and consumer-related disputes in all kinds of proceedings, including complaints in connection with government procurement, mediations, arbitrations and litigations, and is highly trusted by her clients. Furthermore, she constantly provides legal service, such as legal consultation, strategy planning, document review and legal document drafting in commercial cases.
