Managing Partner Shih-Min (Maggie) Wu was invited by the Public Construction Commission of the Executive Yuan and the NCCU College of Law to serve as a panelist at the “Symposium on Promoting Multi-level Prevention and Resolution Mechanisms for Public Construction Disputes,” held on November 7, 2025.
Addressing the forum, Ms. Wu stated, “Every dispute resolution procedure has its inherent pros and cons; there is no absolute superior method. Diverse mechanisms must be established to meet diverse needs, enabling parties to select the most suitable approach based on their specific considerations.”
She further emphasized that regardless of the mechanism adopted, the “human” factor remains paramount. “Maximizing opportunities for the disputing parties to jointly select the adjudicator not only safeguards the parties’ rights but also encourages the adjudicator to cherish their professional reputation, thereby fostering a more impartial and neutral handling of the dispute,” Ms. Wu remarked.
